Fall 2023 Recital Excerpt
In addition to event music Quintet Athens performs quarterly recital programs that are free and open to the public. In the fall of 2023 our recital program “5+1” featured works for quintet plus solo instrument. One of the program highlights was Ludwig Thuille’s Sextet for winds and piano composed in 1888. Joined by pianist Rebecca Healan-Boles and performed “in the round” with audience members on all sides made for a thrilling recital experience.
